3M™ Two Part Solvent Based Coatings are protective catalyzed two-component polyurethane based fluid sealer / coatings. They can be sprayed or brushed.
3M™ Two Part Solvent Based Coating is ideal on sills, front and rear parts of the body. It is possible to restore the OEM appearance of seals spray present on some models of cars, particularly in joints between overlapping sheets or welds in engine compartments, booth areas, interior cabin and wheelarches. The product, after mixing the two components, can be sprayed using the gun 3M 08996/2, for protective and sealant spray or disposable spray kits use 3M 08987. Once cured, it provides a protective surface with excellent soundproofing, rust and resistance to chipping. It has excellent adhesion to bare metal, filler or paints. Can be painted over and baked at a maximum temperature of 60° C. To obtain different finishes the product can be diluted with a PU solvent (maximum of 5% by weight).
